*CAGE Code Defined:

*CAGE Code is defined as the Commercial and Government Entity Code. This is a unique identifier usually a 5-digit mix of alphanumeric code assigned to suppliers and business entities pursuing business opportunities with various government or defense procurement agencies, as well as to government agencies themselves. CAGE codes provide a standardized method of identifying a given facility at a specific location. Within the US, any organization wishing to become a supplier to the DoD is issued a CAGE Code by Defense Logistics Information Service (DLIS), the organization serving as the US NCB. An entity that is issued a CAGE code must reapply annually to renew it through the SAM system. On record, there are an estimated 1.5 Million entities in this catalog. The information associated with the entities – name, address, phone numbers, etc. – is catalogued in the H4 and H8
